Rules & terms
These are the rules every drop runs by. Dropbot answers questions using this exact text.
Drop rules
1. Eligibility: 18+ and UK residents only. One account per person.
2. Drops: one headline prize per week. Each drop runs for 7 days and closes at the live reveal on Sunday at 8:00 PM UK time.
3. Bidding: a bid is a secret amount from £0.01 to £99.99 in 1p steps. Bids cost £1 each regardless of the amount chosen, with bundle discounts: 6 bids for £5, 15 bids for £12, 30 bids for £20. The cheapest combination is applied automatically to each purchase. A player may place many bids but cannot bid the same amount twice on the same drop.
4. Winning: at the reveal, all bids are grouped by amount. Any amount chosen by more than one bid is a duplicate and is knocked out. The winner is the player holding the lowest amount chosen by exactly one bid ("lowest unique bid"). If no amount is unique, there is no winner for that drop.
5. Bid statuses during a live drop (these can change as other players bid):
- "Unique & Lowest": nobody else has this amount and it is currently the lowest unique amount — currently winning.
- "Unique but Higher": nobody else has this amount, but a lower unique amount exists.
- "Duplicate": at least one other bid has the same amount — knocked out. A duplicate can never become unique again.
A unique bid can become a duplicate if someone else later picks the same amount, and a "Unique but Higher" bid can become "Unique & Lowest" if lower unique bids become duplicates.
6. Privacy: other players' bid amounts are never shown. Only totals (bids, players) are public. The live feed shows first name + last initial and optional town, never amounts during a live drop.
7. Free postal entry (no purchase necessary): send an unenclosed postcard with full name, address, email, phone, drop week and one bid amount to LowDrop Entries, PO Box 1234, London, EC1A 1AA. One bid per postcard. Must arrive before Sunday 12:00 noon of the drop week. Postal bids have exactly the same chance as paid bids and are checked within 2 working days of arrival.
8. Results: winners are calculated automatically from saved bids at the reveal and published on the site.
9. Payments: card payments are not yet live; bids in the current preview are not charged.
General terms
By creating an account you confirm you are 18+ and live in the UK. We may close accounts used to break these rules, including multiple accounts per person. Prizes are as described and cannot be exchanged for cash. Our decision on results, based on the saved bid records, is final.
